About Dr. Paula

Dr. Paula teaches, equips, and challenges people to live triumphantly. She is an educator, speaker, author, youth pastor, and coach committed to working with single women of faith. 

She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University. Paula has over 30 years in PreK-6 education as a teacher, director,  and principal. Her last position was as an adjunct lecturer at the State University of New York at New Paltz. 

In December 2010, as a 49-year-old virgin, Dr. Paula married John E. Perez, instantly becoming stepmother to three young adults. Since 2015, she has served alongside her husband,  who was appointed Pastor at Family Transformation, a church in upstate New York. 

In 2018, Dr. Paula took early retirement to focus on full-time ministry. She started her writing career in Ocrober 2021. Since then she's published two books. Her first book, a memoir, titled 49-Year-Old Virgin: Delayed Not Denied is an Amazon best seller. BOUNDARIES: Saving Yourself Until Marriage is her newest release.

Dr. Paula started "You Are Not Alone (YANA) Coaching Services" to help single women of faith attract the love they desire.  YANA also means "God is gracious".

Her passion for serving single women of faith comes from her own experience.  At 16, she decided not to have sex until she married. Her 4-STEP framework helped her keep her vow of celibacy until she wed at 49!

Paula and her husband are also certified Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts coaches. Together they provide coaching for engaged and married couples.
